My heart is bursting with feelings and thoughts. S My heart is bursting with feelings and thoughts. So much that I wish to say and share.

However it has been such a ride these past few months, that my tiredness right now keeps me from doing so. So I keep to the simpleness of my heart's longings:

I wish for human and more than human to live side by side in harmony

I wish for animal suffering created by humans to come to an end

I wish for humanity to see the gifts of Mother Nature and give love, healing and kindness in return

I wish that we see animals as our comrades, our next of kin that we can learn from by observing and listening

I wish that we become friends with the trees, the plants and all of the natural world and care for one another

I wish humankind would cherish the Earth it walks on and see the divinity and equality in all of life

And last but not least I wish for joy, love, peace and kindness to be our fundament, the values we live by. Although I am not there yet, I am doing my best and I wish we all feel worthy of receiving and experiencing these values from the bottom of my heart.

Thank you for being here.

And...I love these cookies so much. They could be doggy biscuits (I feel a new recipe coming!), but they are actually brilliant cookies from @maartjeborst's her new book Taart ende Koeck for which I had the honor to do the photography this year. 2021 more books will follow 🙏🏽😅

🌟Oh and I believe if ones intention comes from a good place wishes come true.🌟

The apparent winter of life Together with Margari The apparent winter of life

Together with Margarit of @de_nobele_hoeve I wrote a piece about how she works with the animals that live on her land, the slow, but sure passing of sweet, old Bietje and the wonderful way in which Margarit deals with the life and death of her beloved residents.

I am deeply impressed by her method and at the same time it resonates in every cell of my body. It is the roll I believe that is ours to play in this lifetime on this Earth. It is the language we are invited to learn how to speak. It is experiencing divinity in the purest exchange between human and more than human that is possible.

And that is how Margarit works. Free from assumptions we have about animals, she shows up. She listens, she observes in service of healing, of light, of love, even when the time has come to transition.

And Bietje's time is slowly but surely coming. And that is also part of life.

You can read the article via link in bio.

And so her Nobele Magazine as part of her new website which we launched in the summer this year, is filled with articles from the heart about our human exchange with the non human world. A rewarding task to write about. Margarit sees her animals, gives them space to express their individuality and thus knows how to give each animal exactly what is needed at that moment, from a place of love and softness, a place of divinity.

Thank you Margarit for showing the way. I know it is not always easy.

I know this year has brought many challenges on ma I know this year has brought many challenges on many levels. And personally it has also brought me beautiful lessons. Like how to be resilient when all seems uncertain. How to ground when society squeaks and shakes. But mostly I am grateful for the deepening relationship that is unfolding with the more than human world. I am learning how to use my intuition and herbal knowledge to be of service for animals in need. I am learning how to observe and become silent so that others can express themselves better.

I am grateful that this year the Herbal Hotline manifested and human clients quickly became all kinds of clients, like Mary the pig, Parel, Auckje and Rintje the horses, several ducks, chickens, dogs and recently Les Grey a darling rabbit living @beinglauryn. For them I had the honour of putting together herbal protocols. These protocols are not about performing miracles. It is all about showing up, deeply trusting the brilliance and potential of the plant kingdom, a living body, Mother Nature and the human caretaker who is 100% necessary in this proces. It is about stepping in with plants when all other therapies do not seem to bring healing. I am in no way a vet, nutrition specialist or therapist. And I have the deepest respect for these professions. I however do know a bit about the capability of plants. I trust when someone is still alive healing is possible. I focus on that healing power and hope the body still accepts the offered medicine. Sometimes the latter doesn't happen and we have to accept that time has come, but many times much can still happen for the better. There is one knowing and that is that just like in humans, one protocol does not fit all. It is the challenge of weaving together the right threads of a beautiful and complex tapestry so medicine and body can start to co-create.

I hope this journey will expand and I wish to thank Mr. Pooh, @de_nobele_hoeve, @veronique_gerrits and @depeerdegaerdt for their support and faith and giving me tools to continue to walk this path.

If you also wish to learn about herbal medicine for humans and more than humans, check out link in bio for a gorgeous course offered by @depeerdegaerdt in 2021.
As you know, about 1 year and 3 months ago, we had As you know, about 1 year and 3 months ago, we had a bit of a scare. Mr. Pooh was diagnosed with two big tumors in his belly and was not given very long to live. The vet gave us two options which both didn't appeal to us. We went home and I put together a healing protocol powered by medicinal plants. Mr. Pooh recovered, as you also know. Once again, as so many times before the plants proved their healing powers and once again I was confirmed that one person's opinion is not always the final say and intuition and gut feeling is the navigation system I trust. I wrote about this extensively here on IG and my blog if you would like to learn more.

So now Mr. Pooh has entered his senior days and I am doing what I can to support him in this degenerative part of his life on Earth. Sometimes he is doing wonderful, sometimes he is a weak old man. But two weeks ago he took a turn for the worst. He had a big swelling on his head and was definitely under the weather. My first thought was this is it, but after quieting the mind and calming down after looking for herbal treatments I listened. And somewhere during the night, a feeling came up, manifesting in a thought, becoming a herbal protocol. The swelling was build up fluid, a side effect of his leaking heart valve that he has had forever, but of which the effects are becoming more and more visible. So in the morning I prepared a strong herbal diuretic brew (linden, horsetail, nettle, rosemary), two days later the swelling was gone, three days later Pooh was back on his paws.

There will come a time that his body will not accept these supports anymore, I understand that and that too is part of life, to let go and be of service to the necessary transformation that has to take place. But till then the plants, many wise people and our intuition are here to guide and navigate us on this journey through life.

Note: the brew is the result of herbal knowledge and the relationship that exists between Pooh and myself. I would not recommended trying this at home in a seemingly similar case unless you have a herbal background/are experienced with natural healing. Every creature is unique, as well as every plant medicine 💚🌿.
Introduction Course Natural Medicine Humans & More Introduction Course Natural Medicine Humans & More Than Humans 2021.

During times of great change in the world, we can always turn to nature for guidance. Because apart from the fact that everything is always changing, we find a constant in the natural world; the rhythm of the seasons, the rise and withdrawal of the plants and the hibernation and awakening of the animal kingdom. But there is one more constant and that is the healing power of plants.

Plants have shown us for centuries that they contain medicinal properties that not only we ourselves, but also the animals, and therefore our pets, can benefit from.

Problems arise from imbalance and since everything on earth continuously strives for homeostasis, it is precisely in nature that we can find the way back to balance.

Nature therefore almost always has a solution for everything. However, today we have mostly drifted away from those natural solutions.

Fortunately, we can still return to these solutions every day, after all, we and the animals are also a piece of nature. It is this way we can learn how to support and strengthen our own health and that of our companion animals in a natural way.

And so it is with great pleasure and gratitude to announce that I will be part of the wonderful introduction course in natural medicine for humans and animals at the @depeerdegaerdt estate in the spring of 2021.

A course consisting of a theory day and a practical day, given by Margriet Cremers – Dudok van Heel of veterinary naturopathic knowledge center De Silverlinde and myself, and provided with delicious plant-based snacks and lunch.

You can sign up via link in profile (the course will be in Dutch).
